Lone Contacts
‘Lone Contacts’ is an investigative art project and exhibition developed to test how collaboration might act as a method of generating process-oriented projects in the documentary photography field. Photographers Ross Fraser McLean and Rima Otilia Qvale traded possession of thousands of their negatives going back through a decade of un-edited photographic image making. Each photographer adopted the other’s archive as material in the creation of a new exhibition and image series that blurred the traditional lines of photographic authorship and image production.
